A triple-header in Lincolnshire

Race 10, 11 & 12

After a difficult weekend at Knockhill, besieged by car problems which made it difficult to be on the pace, we’re looking for a good weekend at Cadwell Park to keep the championship challenge going.

Last year, in our first Civic Cup race weekend we had good pace at Cadwell Park, setting a fastest lap in the second race, so we’re hopeful of scoring big here this time around.

Qualifying : both of our fastest laps were deleted due to track limits. Reviewing the in car footage, we can’t figure out where. We had the pace to qualify top 5 or better but will be starting from 12th and 9th in races 10 and 12.

Race 10 : We managed to make up a few places to finish 8th, meaning we start 3rd for race 11, which gives us a chance of some good points.

Race 11 : A driveshaft failure while running in 3rd place means we didn’t get to finish the race.

Race 12 : We managed to get a good start and gain a place, then after the restart moved up to 7th.

Unfortunately the last hopes I had of claiming the championship are now basically over. A streak of bad luck and mechanical failures has dropped us out despite the mega start to the year. From now I’ll just be here to shake things up a bit, win some races and help bring home the championship for the team.
