One Day Triple Header
Silverstone National – 30 September 2023
Race 13, 14 & 15
A triple-header at Silverstone, all in the same day.
Qualifying went reasonably well as we had the car setup for race pace but still got a top 5 and an 8th.
Race 13 – we worked our way up to 3rd place but had some intermittent power issues which prevented us from challenging for the win but we managed to hold on to the podium finish.
Race 14 – a good start from 8th on the grid and some overtakes got us up to 6th place before the safety car period. Then we got up to 5th before a driveshaft failure saw us drop back then reitre on the final lap.
Race 15 – unfortunately contact in the first turn saw us retire with a broken wheel.
A day that started well with a podium and the potential of some good championship points saw us have more bad luck with mechanical issues and a disappointing day overall.
