Driving blind, blistering pace and crushing disappointment!

Race 15 & 16

23rd October 2022

The final round at Snetterton had everything, all kinds of weather, challenges left, right and centre, some great racing and a disappointing end.

This has been a year of learning and with all of the challenges have come lessons and knowledge. We always knew my first full season’s racing would be a massive test, and while the first win hasn’t yet arrived, we can go forward into 2023 with confidence.

Qualifying – P8

My first time in full wet conditions I spun on my fastest lap when over a second up then the session was red flagged early leaving me no time to improve.

Still plenty more left on the table, looking forward to the races!

Race 15 – P10

Lucky to bring that one home in one piece!

Absolutely awful conditions along with a completely steamed up windscreen meant I could only see where I was going out the side windows.

I’ll be starting P1 for race 2 at 17:10, this time with a working demister

Race 16 – P5

12 second lead, 2 seconds a lap faster than nearly the entire field.

Why I didn’t chill out and bring it home is something that I’m going to think about for a long time and something I can only learn from.

I still brought it home 5th but we should’ve had much more.

Sorry to the team for letting them down and to everyone who supported me.

Today I showed what I can do, I’ll be back stronger.
